In order to work with loans, you have to open the loan which can be accessed from the debtor profile (Loans menu item) or from the Loans tab. Once you entered into loan details, click the last menu item named Operations.

Other Fees

If you have Other Fees entered into the system you will see the list of those fees. There are three options for every fee:

  • Charge - charges some amount of money (usually used as a penalty)
  • Repay - repay charged amount fully or partially
  • Waive off - waive off charged amount fully or partially

Click the relevant button, enter amount, date and text comment and click Save to save or Cancel to discard.

Charge, repay and waive off permissions should be granted to authorised employees using roles permissions.

Write off

Financial institutions write off bad debt when the chance of recovery is very low, removing it from their balance sheets. 

To write off the loan, click on the Write off button, provide the date and a text comment and click on Save to save your changes or Cancel to discard.

Write off permission (LOAN_WRITE_OFF) should be granted to authorised employees using roles permissions.

Actualise Loan

If the loan is created in the past date you have to actualise it to be able to make any operations. The actualising process generates accrual interest events from the disbursement to the actualisation date.

To actualise loan click the Actualise Loan button, provide the date and click Start to start actualisation or Cancel to cancel it.

Actualise permission (ACTUALIZE_LOAN) should be granted to authorised employees using roles permissions.
